How to play

WTP Football Bingo is a second screen for a game you're already watching. You don't mark anything and you don't keep score. The host records what happens on the field, and every card in the session updates at once.

Getting in

  1. Open it

    Any browser works — nothing to install. Go to play.watchtalkplay.com, or tap the invite link your host sent.

  2. Say who you are

    Sign in with your email (we send a six-digit code) so your cards follow you to any device — or just pick a display name and play as a guest on this one.

  3. Enter the join code

    Six characters from your host. If you tapped an invite link it's already filled in.

  4. Request your card

    Tap Request cards. Most games give one. That's it — you're in.

Join before the game starts. Once the host starts play, no new players can join and no new cards are handed out. Some hosts also reward joining early with better odds at hidden rewards — if the invite says so, it's true.

Then just watch

As each play happens, the host records it and every matching square on every card in the session marks itself. Here's what you'll see.

The pot

Every session has a fixed pot of rewards, and you can watch it tick down. When it's empty, the session ends — even if the game hasn't.

The leaderboard

Who's ahead by total winnings, updated live and frozen when the session ends.

The winnings timeline

A running feed of every win in the session and the play that caused it — so you can see exactly how the pot was spent.

Questions people actually ask

Do I have to like football?

No — and that's rather the point. Because any square can win, you'll be cheering punts and incomplete passes. Plenty of players have never watched a full game.

Can I win money?

No. Rewards are virtual points and bragging rights. There's nothing to buy, nothing to cash out, and no gambling involved.

What if I lose signal or close the app?

Nothing is lost. When you come back, your card resyncs to the current state — no missed marks, no duplicates. Marks that happened while you were away are waiting.

Do I need to keep the app open?

To see wins as they happen, yes — there are no push notifications. Keep it open on your second screen and glance down when the room reacts.

What if the host taps the wrong play?

They can undo it. The marks it caused come off, any reward it triggered goes back into the pot, and the winnings timeline corrects itself.
