WTP Bingo — Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information WTP Bingo (“we”, “us” — Watch Talk Play LLC) collects, how we use it, and your choices. WTP Bingo is a real-time multiplayer football bingo game available on the web and as an iOS app. The app is in early access / beta.
Information we collect
- Account & sign-in. If you sign in, we collect your email address (to send a one-time sign-in code and to recognize you across devices) and a display name you choose. You can also play as a guest, in which case we collect only a display name (no email).
- Gameplay data. The sessions you join, the bingo cards you hold, the cells marked, and the rewards you win — so the game can function and show leaderboards and results to other players in the same session (your display name and your wins are visible to that session).
- Technical data. Standard server logs from our hosting provider (e.g. IP address, timestamps, error diagnostics) used to operate and secure the service.
We do not collect payment information (rewards are virtual and non-monetary), and we do not use advertising or third-party trackers.
How we use it
- Provide and operate the game (authentication, joining sessions, live play, leaderboards, winnings).
- Send transactional sign-in emails (the 6-digit code / link).
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.
- Improve the game based on aggregate, non-identifying usage.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Service providers (processors)
We use a small number of vendors to run the service, who process data only on our behalf:
- Fly.io — application hosting and database.
- Resend (and its email infrastructure) — delivering sign-in emails.
- Cloudflare — domain/DNS for our sending domain.
- Apple — app distribution and TestFlight (subject to Apple’s own privacy terms).
Data retention & deletion
We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active and as needed to operate the game. You can delete your account at any time — in the app via “Delete account” (web: Home; iOS: Join screen), or by emailing support@watchtalkplay.com. Deleting your account removes your personal data (your email and display name) and revokes your sign-in credentials; we keep the anonymized gameplay records (the cells you marked, rewards won) so the shared sessions other players took part in aren’t corrupted, and we may retain limited records where required for security or legal reasons. Guest data is minimal (a display name) and is not tied to an email.
Your choices
- Play as a guest to avoid providing an email.
- Sign out at any time in the app.
- Contact us to access or delete your data (above).
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Sign-in codes and session tokens are stored hashed, never in plaintext; sign-in codes are single-use, short-lived, and limited to a small number of verification attempts. Sign-in requests return the same response whether or not an email has an account, so the service does not reveal who has registered.
Children
WTP Bingo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves; we’ll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
